BS4808 Defence Standard Equipment Wires (Def Stan cables) are designed for the internal wiring of instruments and electronic equipment. Originally used by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in high density wiring applications.

They are available as Type 2 or Type 3 and in the following sizes: 1/0.6, 1/0.9, 7/0.2, 16/0.2, 24/0.2, 32/0.2

These products are supplied mostly off the shelf on 500m reels in a range of colours. We can make 100m reels and other lengths to order with a short lead time and MOQ.

We also offer UL1007 20 AWG Hook Up Wire.

Construction

PVC insulated with a tinned copper conductor.
